A Full Fire Ban is in effect for the entire park as of July 10th, 2018. A Full Fire Ban prohibits all open fires within the park at any time.
During a full fire ban, park visitors are permitted to use:
- Portable gas or propane stoves, with a shut off control valve, manufactured for the intended purpose of cooking (i.e., portable camp stoves, single burner units, portable barbeque, etc.), for food preparation only.
Park visitors are not permitted
- Charcoal barbeques or biomass units using natural burning fuels (i.e., sticks, twigs, pine cones, etc.).
- Portable outdoor living gas or propane fire pits or fire bowls manufactured for the intended purpose of outdoor ambiance and recreational enjoyment that produces flame.
The public is asked to exercise extreme caution. Fire hazard conditions are monitored daily and fire bans will be lifted when conditions improve.
