Park Advisories
1 Bon Echo Paddle CentreContinuing in 2023, Ontario Parks is operating the canoe, kayak and stand-up paddleboard (SUP) rentals at Bon Echo. Arrangements are made at the Bon Echo Paddle Centre Office in the Lagoon, near Main Beach.
All rentals on Mazinaw Lake and Joeperry Lake are available First-Come, First-Served; reservations are not offered.
Rental periods: up to 4 hours, up to 8 hours, or up to 24 hours. Multi-day rentals in 24 hour increments are also available.
For safety: Mazinaw Lake rentals may be suspended at any time due to high winds or weather watches/warnings, at staff's discretion.
- Rental fee payment can be made by debit, credit or cash.
- Rentals include paddles, PFDs and a marine safety kit
2 On May 21, 2022 Bon Echo Provincial Park received significant damage throughout the entire park due to the severe weather and storm system that took place in southern Ontario, and sections of the park will remain closed in 2023.
The Hardwood Hill campground as well as the Abes and Essens trail and campsites #528, #529 and #530 will be closed in 2023 as restoration efforts continue. Campsites #526 and #527 will open June 5th, 2023 with direct out-and-back trail access only.
