Park Advisories

1 Biking Trail Restrictions
- The Minnesing Mountain Bike Trail is currently closed.

Visitor Centre
- The Friends of Algonquin Park Bookstore and Nature Shop is open.
- The exhibits, restaurant, theatre and viewing deck remain closed.

Logging Museum
- The Logging Museum reception area is open.
- The washrooms and theatre are closed.

Comfort Stations
- The comfort stations at the East and West Gates are open.

Vault Toilets
Vault or composting toilets are available at the following locations along Highway 60: Algonquin Logging Museum, Mizzy Lake Trail, Big Pines Trail, Centennial Ridges Trail, Spruce Bog Boardwalk Trail, Track and Tower Trail, Minnesing Bike Trail, Lake of Two Rivers Day Use Area, Costello Creek Day Use Area, Tea Lake Dam Day Use Area, Canoe Lake Access Point, Cache Lake Access Point, Opeongo Access Point, Source Lake Access Point, Smoke Lake Access Point, Western Uplands Backpacking Trail and Highland Backpacking Trail.


2 Road Graveling/Grading: Major Lake Rd., Shall Lake Access Point anticipated start date July 15th until July 23rd, 2020, weather permitting.
3 Low Water Reports:

4 Forest Management log hauling on the Opeongo Lake Rd.

Logging trucks will be travelling on Opeongo Rd from Highway 60 to Cameron Lake Road (approximately 3 km in length). The hauling will be occurring Monday to Friday, from early July to late October. Park visitors may encounter log trucks on this section of the road and will see lower speed limits posted during this time period. Please drive with caution.
