Water units (e.g., docks, on-water boathouses and swim platforms) and/or on-land structures (e.g., driveways, utility lines) located outside of the cottage lot boundary require separate occupational authority (i.e., land use permit). MNRF’s ability to issue new land use permits for these purposes is subject to the outcomes of a proposed regulation pursuant to section 14(2.1) of the PPCRA.
