Park Advisories

1 NOTICE: Algonquin Provincial Park has implemented measures to address overcrowding this fall. The park may be closed at any time of day if park capacity is reached. East Gate and West Gate Hours
-September 14 – October 12:
-Mon – Fri: 8:00 – 5:00
-Sat – Sun: 8:00 – 6:00
-October 13 – 18:
- Mon – Fri: 9:00 – 3:30
- Sat – Sun: 8:00 – 6:00

Visitor Centre
- To address overcrowding and promote physical distancing, we will continue to limit occupancy. If the building is at capacity, you will be required to wait in line for entry.
- The Friends of Algonquin Park Bookstore and Nature Shop, exhibits, viewing deck, art room and washrooms are open.
- The restaurant and theatre remain closed.
- Open 9:00 – 5:00 daily

Logging Museum
- The Logging Museum reception area is open.
- The theatre is closed.
- Open 9:00 – 5:00 daily

Algonquin Art Centre
-Closed

Closed Campground Office
-The Lake of Two Rivers Campground Office is closed for the season. The campground remains open until Nov 1st. Campers can go to the Mew Lake Campground Office.

Closed Trails
- The fourth loop of the Minnesing Mountain Bike Trail (Callighen's Corners Loop) is currently closed.
- The Hardwood Lookout Trail will be closed on five weekends, including some Fridays, in 2020: Sept. 12-13, Sept. 19-20, Sept. 25-27, Oct. 2-4, Oct. 9-12, Oct. 17-18.

3 Forest Management log hauling on the Opeongo Lake Rd.

Logging trucks will be travelling on Opeongo Rd from Highway 60 to Cameron Lake Road (approximately 3 km in length). The hauling will be occurring Monday to Friday, from early July to late October. Park visitors may encounter log trucks on this section of the road and will see lower speed limits posted during this time period. Please drive with caution.
