Nothing says camp cooking like smoking your food! Smoking imparts the flavour of the fire and wood into your food. The easiest way to create smoke is to put wet wood chips on your fire. Use this in conjunction with grilling or roasting to add a delicious smoky flavour to your meat, fish or vegetables.
PRO TIP: Extend the life of your smoke by wrapping soaked wood chips into a tin foil packet. Poke a couple holes, then place it on the fire. It will slow down their burn and make them last longer.
