Fishing

East Lake and West Lake have good populations of large and small mouth bass, walleye, pike and perch. Nearby Bay of Quinte is known as one of the best locations in North America for catching walleye. This eastern end of Lake Ontario also chinook salmon.
More information on fishing.

Canoeing
Canoes, kayaks and paddleboats can be rented at the Wood Yard and Boat Rental Facility on Outlet River.

Boating
The waters around the park are ideal for motorboating, small-craft sailing and sailboarding.

Swimming
The wide, clean, sandy beaches and shallow, safe waters of Outlet and Sandbanks beaches on Lake Ontario are ideal for family swimming.

Swimming starts sooner at Dunes Beach on West Lake as the inland water warms up faster than Lake Ontario. But beware of the steep drop-off after the shallows.
