Fishing
The Massasauga boasts a first-class fishery of muskie and bass.
Pike and panfish are also very common.
More information on fishing.
Canoeing/Kayaking
With direct access to Georgian Bay and short portages to inland
lakes, paddlers can create routes as short as a few hours and as
long as seven days.
Wildlife Viewing
White-tailed deer, moose, black bears and wolves are commonly spotted
in the park. And chipmunks, raccoons, birds, hybrid toad and five-linked
skink appear around the campsites. This area is also home to the
poisonous, but rarely seen, Massasauga rattlesnake.
Boating
The Massasauga is best explored by boat. Sailing and sea kayaking
are popular. So is motorboating, but only experienced boaters with
proper navigational charts should rely on motorized travel.
Swimming
Small, sandy beaches interrupt a rocky shore next to water that
is crystal clear and sometimes deep. Islands in the park offer many
swimming spots. There are no buoyed areas or change facilities.
Hunting
Hunting in this park is subject to the Ontario Hunting Regulations. Certain restrictions apply. For more information, contact the park or your local area or district office of the Ministry of Natural Resources.
