Starting in 2013 Fushimi Lake will operate in partnership with the Town of Hearst as part of a two year pilot project. The pilot project will explore opportunities and ideas to reduce expenditures and increase revenues and visitation.
This park operates on a first come-first served basis, so reservations are not accepted.
Fushimi Lake is a recreation class park located 37 kilometres northwest of Hearst and accessible from Highway 11 by the Fushimi Forest Access Road. Fushimi Lake is the major water body in the park. The area around Fushimi Lake was set aside as a park reserve in 1967. Fushimi Lake Provincial Park was regulated as a provincial park in 1979.
