Natural Features
A section of Adam
Creek, where it flows into the Matagami River, has been designated a nature
reserve. It is the most accessible part of what is, for geologists, a
definitive example of early-to-middle Wisconsin Kipling till -- clay,
sand, boulders, and gravel deposited by a glacier 10,000 years ago.
Park Facilities and
Activities
There are no
park facilities for visitors in this undeveloped area. It is suitable
for nature viewing, canoeing, and fishing. (Caution: Ontario Hydro
uses Adam Creek as a flood channel.)
Location: About
90 kilometres north of Kapuskasing
