AlertInterdiction de faire des feux

There is a fire ban

Interdiction de faire des feux en ce moment.

Many of our provincial parks across the province have imposed a partial or full fire ban due to the lack of rainfall, hot weather conditions and high to extreme fire hazard ratings in many of the municipalities surrounding our parks. Ontario Parks works closely with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry’s (MNRF) Aviation Forest Fire and Emergency Services (AFFES) and local municipalities when implementing a fire ban.

Foy Provincial Park is implementing a Full fire ban as of 12:01AM June 1, 2023. A Full fire ban restriction prohibits all open fires within the park at any time.

During a full fire ban park visitors are permitted to use:
Portable gas or propane stoves, with a shut off control valve, manufactured for the intended purpose of cooking (i.e., portable camp stoves, single burner units, portable barbeque, etc.), for food preparation only.

Park visitors are not permitted to use:
Charcoal barbeques or biomass units using natural burning fuels (i.e., sticks, twigs, pinecones, etc.).
Portable outdoor living gas or propane fire pits or fire bowls manufactured for the intended purpose of outdoor ambiance and recreational enjoyment that produces flame.

For more information on what equipment can be used check out the link to this blog article. https://www.ontarioparks.com/parksblog/equipment-allowed-fire-ban/

Fire hazard conditions are monitored daily and fire bans will be lifted as soon as conditions improve. For a complete listing and more information on provincial parks with fire restrictions or bans please visit www.ontarioparks.com/alerts.
