Due to extremely dry conditions, beginning July 25th, Bonnechere Provincial Park has issued a total fire ban that prohibits all open fires.

During a fire ban, park visitors are permitted to use portable gas or propane stoves with a shut-off control valve, manufactured for the intended purpose of cooking (i.e. portable camp stoves/ BBQ's, single burner units), for food preparation only.

Visitors are NOT permitted to use charcoal BBQ's or biomass units using natural burning fuels (i.e. sticks, pinecones, etc.) or portable outdoor living gas/ propane fire pits manufactured for the purpose of outdoor ambiance/ recreational enjoyment.
