Christmas & Holiday Events

To kick off your holiday shopping season visit Christmas at Presqu’ile; a juried art and craft show that takes place every November. The many treasures are presented in two beautiful heritage homes and the Lighthouse Interpretive Centre.

Victorian Christmas at Bronte Creek is another fabulous holiday event. Experience an authentic Victorian Christmas with crafts, refreshments, songs and stories. You and your family can dress up in Victorian clothing for a private visit with Santa and take home special photos of your visit.

New Years

Looking for an outdoor adventure with your friends and family to celebrate the New Year, why not try out one of many roofed accommodations?

Family Day Weekend

More and more parks are offering special events and programs during this popular weekend, from Owl Prowls to Wolf Howls and suet feeders. Pair an event with roofed accommodation for the ultimate sleepover. Winter in the Wild at Algonquin is an event that provide opportunities for skiing, skating, snowshoeing and bonfires.

Other parks that offer fun Family Day events are Killarney, Algonquin, MacGregor Point and Pinery.

March Break

March is the time of year sap begins to run and birds are migrating back through to their summer homes. What better way to experience these natural phenomena than in Ontario Parks.

Bronte Creek celebrates their Maple Syrup Festival every weekend in March, as well as the week over March Break. Take a tour of Maple Lane or learn how maple syrup was made, then sweeten your visit with a pancake breakfast or maple candy.

If you have always wanted to discover the birds you see flying overhead, Presqu’ile and Rondeau offer birding weekends. You can learn how to identify different species through manned scopes, as well as lots of activities for the kids.

Nordic Fun

Winter is a time to get out on the trails! The Beaten Path’s Annual Cross Quetico Lakes Ski Tour in Quetico takes place every March, and has been said to be one of the coolest adventures in Canada.
