Voyageur Provincial Park
Nestled along the Ottawa River, Voyageur Provincial Park offers a variety of camper activities. Hike a nature trail, canoe or paddleboat in the many tranquil bays, wet a fishing line or cool off with a swim at one of the four beaches. For a change of pace, pack a lunch and picnic along the shoreline.
Voyageur is 1 hour from Ottawa, 1 hour from Montreal, 5 hours from Toronto.
Wakami Lake Provincial Park
Wakami Lake Provincial Park is a true northern camping experience. Hike the trails and observe the wildlife native to the vast boreal forest. Sport fishing is by far the most popular activity in Wakami, but campground visitors also enjoy boating, canoeing, kayaking, swimming and self-guided walks. Wakami boasts an amazing historic logging exhibit with original logging equipment that was used back in the day when the White Pine around Wakami lake was logged.
Wakami Lake is 5 hours north of Sudbury.
Sturgeon Bay Provincial Park
Located just north of Parry Sound, Sturgeon Bay Provincial Park is situated among the 30,000 Islands of Georgian Bay. Sturgeon Bay offers endless possibilities for your vacation, whether you prefer to relax by the campfire, swim, picnic, fish, paddle a canoe or go boating. The park offers ice and camper supplies, canoe rentals, and boat slip rentals.
Sturgeon Bay is 2.5 hours from Toronto, 5.5 hours from Ottawa.
MacGregor Point Provincial Park
MacGregor Point Provincial Park is one of the most ecologically diverse natural places along the Lake Huron shoreline. Bring your binoculars and watch for migrating fall species. Use the park as a base to explore the area. Begin with the Old Shore Road Trail and then cycle on! The area boasts many great trails and cycle routes between Port Elgin, Kincardine and Southampton.
