Kettle Lakes Provincial Park

Kettle Lakes Provincial Park will keep any outdoor enthusiast busy! Located near Timmins, the park is dotted with 22 scenic lakes, accessible by park trails and roads where you can swim, paddle or fish. Enjoy modern camping facilities in the Island Lake Campground, and comfort stations which provide hot showers, laundry facilities and flush toilets.
The Kettle Lakes NHE team is ending their season with a bang this weekend. Programs include: “Starry, Starry Night,” “Feeding Frenzy Camper Games,” “Farewell Campfire,” and “Photo Scavenger Hunt.”

Mississagi Provincial Park

A rugged landscape of ancient hills and clear lakes located west of Sudbury, Mississagi Provincial Park is one of the most scenic parks in Ontario and an unknown gem. Paddle to pristine lakes and hike numerous trails to spectacular vistas. The camping is rustic – “just like it used to be” and off the grid.

Murphys Point Provincial Park

History meets nature at Murphys Point. The rugged Canadian Shield landscape of mature forest, deep lakes, shallow wetlands and abandoned farm fields provides excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing. The park’s heritage also features a restored, early 1900s mica mine, two restored pioneer homesteads, remnants of a sawmill and other mine sites. Canoe and kayak rentals are available at the Park Store. Fishing tackle and PFDs are also available for lending. Modern camping facilities include comfort stations, showers, flush toilets, laundry facilities, water taps and garbage and recycling facilities.
On August 30, don’t miss the Silver Queen Mine Open House. Costumed interpreters and park staff will be posted along the Silver Queen Mine trail between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM.

Wheatley Provincial Park

Wheatley Provincial Park‘s campgrounds are situated among a tangle of creeks in a beautifully wooded Carolinian forest. The park sits on a major migratory bird route and provides excellent bird watching opportunities. This area of Ontario also boasts the fascinating history of the Underground Railway, and has a thriving wine and fruit region to explore. Enjoy modern camping facilities, including comfort stations with hot showers, laundry facilities and flush toilets.
