2017 Bush's Beans Sampling program

The beans are back!

Six more parks have jumped on board and will be distributing FREE sample cans of Bush’s Beans to campers!

Parks that will be distributing samples in August, 2017 are:

One sample can for each visiting vehicle. Sample cans will be available as long as supplies last!

Bush’s Savoury Sausage and Bean Supper


Recipe Details:

  • Prep Time: 15 minutes
  • Cook Time: 30 minutes
  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Servings: 6


  • 1 can (28 oz) BUSH’S Original Baked Beans
  • 1 package (1 lb, 3 oz) Johnsonville Italian Sweet Sausage Links
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 cup onions, diced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) tomatoes, diced, peeled and drained
  • ¼ teaspoon ground thyme
  • Optional: salt and pepper, to taste


  1.  Spray medium skillet with cooking spray. Add sausage. Cook over medium-high heat until browned, about 5 minutes, turning links often.
  2. Reduce heat to medium-low. Carefully add water to skillet. Cover and simmer for 12 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F. Remove sausages and slice into coins.
  3. Add onions to skillet and cook until translucent for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Stir in tomatoes, thyme, Bush’s Original Baked Beans and sausage.
  5. Bring mixture to boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
  6. Serve warm.

Bush’s Loaded Baked Potato

  • 1 can (8.3 oz) BUSH’S® Homestyle Baked Beans Pop-Top
  • 1 large baked potato
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • sour cream
  • chives


  1. Poke potato with fork in several places. Wrap in tin foil.
  2. Bury wrapped potato in coals. Let cook for 30-60 minutes (until soft).
  3. Unwrap potato. Add beans and cheese.
  4. Serve with optional toppings, as desired.

Bush’s Sizzling Summer Salsa*


Recipe Details:

  • Prep Time: 15 minutes
  • Cook Time: 0 minutes
  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Servings: 5 cups


  • 1 can (28 oz) BUSH’S Original Baked Beans
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes with jalapeños or mild green chilies, drained
  • 1 cup fresh or thawed frozen corn kernels
  • 2 large scallions, chopped
  • 1 large garlic clove, crushed
  • hot green pepper sauce, to taste
  • tortilla chips


  1. Mix BUSH’S Original Baked Beans, tomatoes, corn, scallions, garlic and hot pepper sauce in a medium bowl.
  2. Serve with tortilla chips.

*Substitute BUSH’S® Vegetarian Baked Beans for a vegetarian salsa.
