2019 destinations

Algonquin Provincial Park

Visitors come from around the globe to visit this world-class natural gem. If you’ve never been, make 2019 the year you check it off your bucket list.

No canoe? No problem. The Algonquin route includes a stop at Algonquin Outfitters, where you can rent what you need.

The Algonquin route includes a number of drop-off points, including (new this year!) a stop at Oxtongue River-Ragged Falls Provincial Park. 

Weekends and day trips available between May 18 and October 14

Grundy Lake Provincial Park

Wander the rugged, rocky shoreline, paddle out to rocky islands, or explore the trails by foot or bike. Don’t forget to stop by the Visitor Centre or take in a Discovery Program while you’re there!

Three weekends available: August 16-18, August 23-25, October 11-14

Killbear Provincial Park (*new in 2019*)

Wind-swept white pine on the rock shore of a lake in summer

Heading up for the day? The bus will drop you at the park Visitor Centre, and you’ll have a full five hours to explore Killbear’s rocky shores and trails.

Stay for the weekend to get the full Killbear experience!

Killarney Provincial Park

The park’s iconic landscape showcases the wild Georgian Bay coast of pink granite, the La Cloche Mountains’ white quartzite ridges, and over 50 exceptionally clear, sapphire lakes set among Jack Pine hills. No wonder the Group of Seven found Killarney so inspiring!

Lion’s Head Provincial Park

Part of the Niagara Escarpment Parks System, Lion’s Head offers access to the Bruce Trail. This 526-hectare nature reserve protects unique rock formation and plant species, so visitors are asked to remember that the natural features are vulnerable and easily damaged.

Day trips available between May 18 and October 14

How much does it cost?

A round trip ranges between $89 and $99, depending on the park.

Student, senior and child rates are available, as are one-way trips.

Can I stay overnight?

Overnight and day trips options may be available — just check the route schedule.

Are campsite reservations included?

No. If you’re staying overnight, remember to book your campsite — your Park Bus ticket only includes transportation.

Can I bring my dog?

Pet tickets may be available for some routes. Check with Park Bus.

Where do I store my food if I stay overnight?

Bear-proof food lockers are available with a $25 deposit at Algonquin, Killarney, and Killbear.
