More group sites available to book online

Looking for a fun way to camp with a bunch of people? Consider group campsites!

We’re happy to announce that group campsites can now be reserved online and via our call centre for an additional 25 provincial parks.

Perfect for large families or youth groups, group campsites offer the same experience as regular car camping, but have more space, allowing more people to stay on the site. Anywhere from 15 to 100 people can be accommodated on a group site (capacity varies across parks).

Big group of campers

In 2016, 12 southwestern provincial parks begun to offer online booking of groups sites as part of a pilot project:

The project was a success and starting January 8, 2019, the following 25 parks across the province will follow suit:

Campers will now be able to book the group sites at these parks online or through our call centre.

Like other accommodations in the system, you’ll be able to book up to five months in advance.

Can I bring my RV?

The majority of our group campsites allow tent camping only. We encourage you to check our reservation website for site specific details such as permitted equipment, maximum occupancy, maximum number of tents/trailers allowed, and service type (electric/non-electric).

What’s good about group campsites?

Group campsites offer the same use of facilities within a park that regular car camping offers. Visit the beach, take a walk, or participate in a park program.

In the evening, cook a group meal or sit by the warm glow of a fire and roast marshmallows. Just remember: the same rules that apply to the rest of the campground, also apply to group campsites!.
