Back to school at Bronte Creek

How do you fit a whole 682 ha park into a classroom?

Package it up into one of our many hands-on, activity-based school programs!

Located in Oakville, Bronte Creek Provincial Park now offers a suite of in-school programs that complement our in-park education programs. Let our staff take your group on a journey of discovery as you explore topics such as Victorian heritage, species at risk, biodiversity, and much more!

Programs available

The following programs can be taken as stand-alone options or paired together to extend the learning experience:

Bronte Creek exploration: Take learning to the next level by experiencing nature and history first-hand. A visit to Bronte Creek provides opportunities for students to participate in place-based learning, explore the local landscape, and re-connect with nature.

Let our staff take your class on an adventure of discovery in our natural oasis in the heart of an urban landscape.

Naturalist in the classroom: This is an opportunity for our staff to connect students with nature and history at your school. Choose from a wide variety of curriculum-linked programs that bring learning alive at your site.

Our curriculum-linked programs are available to schools within a one-hour drive of Bronte Creek Provincial Park.

Nature-gone-digital: Outside of our school catchment zone? Not to worry; we offer videoconferencing programs that allow Bronte Creek staff to join your students in the classroom digitally!

Connect your students with a park naturalist to prepare for your upcoming field trip, check in and discuss your post-program projects, ask questions, or have a staff-led program presented remotely through our videoconferencing option. This is a great way to extend your program throughout your school year and enhance your current lessons to include local resources.
