Today, Ontario Parks celebrates 75 years of offering Discovery programs in our parks! In 1944, Professor J. R. Dymond was hired to run educational programs for visitors at Algonquin Park, and since then the program has expanded to over 70 parks, reaching thousands of visitors per year. Join us as we celebrate Discovery across the province.
Art in the Park (10 am - 12 pm)
Some of Canada's greatest artists have been inspired by the beauty of nature in Ontario's provincial parks. Nature is filled with colour, texture, and patterns - make the Park your canvas and create art from the environment around you!
Nature Detectives (2 pm - 4 pm)
You may not always get to see animals in the park, but they're out there! Join us at the Discovery Drop-in and we will set you up to explore, observe and discover the variety of signs wildlife leave behind. Who knows what you might find?
