Emerald Ash Borer Messaging
The Emerald Ash Borer (EAB), an invasive beetle that weakens and kills ash trees has significantly changed the landscape at Six Mile Lake as we cut down infected trees. Many campsites may be a bit sunnier and the forest may look a little thinner. The biggest way you can help protect our parks against EAB is by burning local firewood only. Our forests will adapt and bounce back, as maintenance crews work hard to ensure the health and safety of our forests.
Click here to learn more about EAB.
