EFFECTIVE JULY 7th, 2020:
Lake St. Peter Provincial Park has issued a TOTAL FIRE BAN that prohibits all open fires.
This fire ban applies to all land within Lake St. Peter Provincial Park.
During a fire ban:
• Campfires are not permitted at any time;
• Charcoal or wood burning barbeques may not be used;
• Portable gas/propane/naphtha stoves or barbecues that have a fuel source with a control valve may still be used
Enforcement staff will be patrolling the park ensure compliance. This ban is made under the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, Regulation 347, section 5 (2). Any violations can be subject to a minimum fine of $150.00.
The fire ban will remain in place until further notice and will be lifted as soon as conditions allow.
