The Learn to Camp overnight program is designed with first time campers in mind!
New campers come together under the guidance of our staff leaders to learn all about the camping basics.
Participants can pick between a two or one night experience. If you want time to relax, enjoy the park and embrace your new camping skills, we recommend the two night stay.
Participants are responsible for food, bedding, personal items, and select kitchen items. Click here for a packing list.
* exception made if group is comprised of a single family of parents and more than 4 children
Our overnight programs are held between June and August at the following locations:
All Learn to Camp locations require participants to arrive at the park by 9:30 am on the first day of programming, with the exception of Grundy Lake, which requires participants to arrive by 12:30 pm.
Campsite check out time is 2:00pm on the final day, but participants can enjoy the park facilities until 10:00pm.
Need a ride? ParkBus offers routes from Toronto to Grundy Lake Provincial Park on select weekends in the summer so that you don’t have to miss out! Click here to visit the ParkBus website.
The cost to participate is per group. A group is up to 6 people, including children.*
