More Information

Ontario’s provincial parks play a vital role in the protection of our natural environment, but did you know spending time in nature is good for your health too?

The research is clear; spending time in nature improves our physical, mental and social well-being. As our society becomes increasingly urban, there is growing recognition that Canadians are suffering from nature deficit disorder, the term used to describe negative personal, social and societal impacts when people disconnect from nature.

Ontario Parks supports Healthy Parks Healthy People; a worldwide movement that works to promote and understand the link between a healthy environment and healthy society. We are working with organizations from a number of different sectors to help connect Canadians to nature.

The time to strengthen and rediscover our connection to nature is now! Ontario’s provincial parks are home to some of the most inspiring and beautiful landscapes in the country. With locations across the province Ontario Parks offers facilities and programs to help you enjoy nature in all four seasons, regardless of your outdoor experience. Our park locator can help you find exactly what you are looking for.
