Additional Information
Trails last track set on February 28, 2018. Despite a lack of new snow, consistently cold temperatures have prolonged the ski season and the forest covered trails have maintained their base. Awenda offers rustic, BACK COUNTRY style ski trails. This means that ski trails are often not groomed or track set as that is not their intended purpose unlike the ski trails at Wasaga Beach and Arrowhead Provincial Park which are groomed and track set to a higher standard. Awenda's BACK COUNTRY trails provide an excellent opportunity to spend some time outdoors while experiencing nature and some spectacular views over Georgian Bay at a leisurely pace while often breaking your own trail. Please be aware that there is extensive hazard tree removal occurring throughout the park. If you encounter individuals conducting hazard tree removal, please ensure that you are seen by workers prior to proceeding on your route. As a friendly reminder the Bluff and Brule Trails are for skiers only. Please do not walk or snowshoe on the trails. In addition dogs are not permitted on the Bluff and Brule Trails during the winter cross-country ski season.
