That’s right, opening season for Ontario Parks is fast approaching! It’s time to dig out your camera and get ready for another fantastic season of visiting and photographing Ontario Parks!
To help dust off the gear or get familiar with new equipment, the first Giant Digital Photography Workshop of the season is scheduled for Thursday, May 26th (6-9 p.m.) with a visit to Kakabeka Falls Provincial Park, located 20 minutes from Thunder Bay. The “You and Your Digital Camera” aka “Buttons and Knobs” program will help you learn about your camera’s settings; including an overview on aperture, shutter speed and the basics of good photo composition.
You can also register in a variety of one-day themed workshops (10 a.m. – 5 p.m.) in the spectacular natural setting of Sleeping Giant Provincial Park:
• June 18 – “Nature & Wildlife Photography”
• July 17 – “Photographing People in Parks”
• Aug 20 – “Nature Photography; Landscapes”
• Sept. 30 to Oct. 2 – “Fall Colours” Weekend Workshop. This two and a half day workshop includes a stay in a park cabin or the conference centre.
All programs are great for various skill levels and camera types and have limited class size to ensure personal feedback from Thunder Bay professional photographer, Barry Wojciechowski, LPPO/PPOC. For full details, pricing and online registration visit www.superiorvisits.com
Be sure to register May 6-13 to receive the last pre-season discount in time for Mother’s Day! Regular pricing applies after sale date. Package price savings are available. Advanced registration is required. So register early and spring into photography with Ontario Parks this season!
