SAIL – VIP adventure contest in Temagami

Winter is over and summer fun awaits – you and a guest could be going on a Temagami adventure!

Temagami is one of Ontario’s special places offering wilderness experiences amongst countless lakes and rivers embedded amongst untouched old growth Red and White Pine forests. Hundred year old trails navigate the rugged terrain featuring several of Ontario’s highest peaks, and legendary fishing opportunities await those who explore this region.    Seven provincial parks offer the best of Temagami; an ideal playground for anglers, paddlers, hikers, photographers, and adventure seekers of all types.

Your VIP opportunity

Winner and one guest will receive round trip flight transportation* from Porter Air and a car rental to get from Sudbury to Finlayson Point.     Upon arriving at Finlayson Point check into the “Temagami Cabin” for a five day and four nights stay.  Included with the Temagami Cabin is access to all park facilities, canoe with paddles, and safety equipment.   Staff will provide an orientation of park facilities, services and an itinerary for the week.    While in Temagami, you will meet up with local guide, Rick Lockhart, for a full day of charted fishing.    Then set a half day aside to tour Temagami by air.   Darren Gareh of Lakeland Airways will take you on a VIP tour of the stunning Temagami landscape by air in his de Havilland Beaver floatplane – one of the most famous bush planes ever designed.   After a day exploring, our winner and their guest will need to eat.   Joanne, Dick and staff at “Our Daily Bread Groceries and More” will provide groceries and meal options during your stay at Finlayson Point.    If the solitude of a paddle is something you enjoy; plan on a fully outfitted and guided day of paddling with Temagami Outfitting Co.   For those most excited to fish the waters of Temagami for the week – Temagami Marine will include a boat, motor and safety equipment for our VIP’s exclusive use during the week.   And to ensure a safe boating experience, our friends at BOATsmart will provide a study guide, on-line course and boat safety exam.
