The Park Superintendent has issued a PARTIAL FIRE BAN for Selkirk Provincial Park due to the extreme fire risk associated with dry weather conditions.
Controlled campfires used for warmth and cooking are permitted between 5pm and 10pm.
Visitors are allowed to use portable gas or propane stoves, with a shut off control valve, manufactured for the intended purpose of cooking (i.e., portable camp stoves, single burner units, portable barbeque, etc.), throughout the day for food preparation only.
The partial fire ban will remain in place until further notice and will be lifted as soon as conditions allow.
