Join the Friends of Quetico Park as they host author, film maker and canoe enthusiast Kevin Callan in a celebration of Quetico Provincial Park. Kevin will entertain the crowds with tales of this favorite canoe trips.
Brian Jackson, Park Biologist will also be talking about the Quetico's ongoing fire history research at the park. Plus meet Park Superintendent Trevor Gibb to learn about the Northwest Wilderness Quest! http://www.ontarioparks.com/nwquest
6:30 p.m. at the Finlandia Hall in Thunder Bay.
Tickets are available for $15 at Chaltrek, Fresh Air Experience and Wilderness Supply.
There will also be a door prize and silent auction!
All proceeds will be used by the Friends to support Quetico Provincial Parks unique educational, recreational, research and resource protection mandates!

Come out to Quetico's Dawson Trail Campground this Labour Day weekend to meet and learn about the Lac La Croix Pony. Ponies will be visiting from Grey Raven Ranch at Seine River First Nation http://www.greyravenranch.org/ . Join experts from Grey Raven Ranch at the Grassy beach Day use area throughout the weekend to meet these magnificent ponies and learn first hand about this rare indigenous breed of pony that once lived throughout the area.
