Become a citizen scientist and discover all that lives in LSPP! Search for species in a group that interests you—birds, plants, fungi, insects—and we’ll record what we find in 24 hours. Your efforts will contribute to LSPP’s biological inventory! Time: 12 pm July 14 to 12 pm July 15

LSPP will soon be recognized as a Dark Sky Preserve! The park’s remoteness and stunning natural landscape contribute to its high quality starry nights and protected nocturnal environment. Discover the wonders of true darkness and how the park’s dark skies contribute to the health of our ecosystems.

LSPP will soon be recognized as a Dark Sky Preserve! Celebrate with us during our Dark Sky weekend.

Night at the Museum August 4, 2018 August 4, 2018 Visitor Centre (Agawa Bay Campground) Join us after hours as we light up the Visitor Centre beyond regular closing time. Meet the naturalists at different stations to explore the many facets of Lake Superior Provincial Park. Drop in anytime between 8 pm and 10:30 pm
Starlight, Starbright - Dark Sky Weekend August 5, 2018 August 5, 2018 Agawa Bay Amphitheatre (Visitor Centre at Agawa Bay in case of inclement weather) 9-10 p.m.

Have you seen bright stars on a dark night? Do you like the dark? Not all of us are comfortable in darkness, but join us just before sunset to discover why the darkness is so important for you and for the plants and animals that live in the park. LSPP will become a Dark Sky Preserve soon, which means we’ll protect the park’s night skies and teach others about it. You can tell others why darkness is so important, too!
