What You'll Like:
Bissett Creek flows from Big Bissett Lake in Algonquin Park to the Ottawa River. Waterloo Lake, which is a natural lake trout and brook trout lake, drains via Waterloo Creek into Bissett Creek. The west end of Waterloo Lake is a rugged bedrock landscape with mixed upland forest on thin soils or open rock. Closer to Algonquin Park, the creek is more rugged containing small waterfalls and large boulders. Bissett Creek is flatter and shallower as it meanders through relatively flat terrain towards the Ottawa River. The area offers a variety of recreational opportunities including an Algonquin Parks canoe route that connects to the Ottawa River.
Location: Approximately 10 kilometres southwest of the town of Bissett Creek, just north of Algonquin Provincial Park.
