Beef Stew

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound beef (cut into small pieces)
  • ½ onion
  • 3 carrots
  • 3 stalks of celery
  • 1 can of corn
  • 4 packs of beef bouillon
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 4 cups of water

Procedure:

At home:

  1. Cut the beef and onions into smaller pieces and fry in a pan until meat is brown (drain excess fat)
  2. Add salt and pepper
  3. Put in a freezer bag and freeze

At the campsite:

  1. Add the bouillon packages, water, corn and beef
  2. Cut the celery and carrots into small pieces
  3. Cook altogether for 10 minutes
  4. Serve over pasta

Tips:

  • Prepare meat mixture at home to cut down on cooking time
  • Add more water if necessary if it is disappearing too fast
