Overnight Sessions
Try camping for the first time without the hassles or worries.
No experience? No problem! Join Ontario Parks leaders and fellow new campers on an overnight camping trip, where you and your family will learn all you need to know to become confident campers. Learn how to set-up camp, how to build a campfire, hear advice from the experts and more.

What we provide:
- Detailed packing instructions and program information in advance of your visit.
- Almost all the equipment required. Participants are responsible for bedding, personal items and food to prepare your own meals.
- A campsite for up to 6 participants, including children
- Scheduled family-friendly activities and learning sessions, led by experienced Ontario Parks Staff.
- Free time to enjoy the park facilities.
Duration:
- All sessions are two days and one night.
- Optional: book an additional 1 or 2 nights with the camping equipment following most sessions to put your new skills to the test.

Learn to Camp will visit each of the following parks for one weekend only in 2012!

Cost:
Cost to participate in 2012 (including all fees and taxes):
- 1 night / 2 day program: $64.00
- 1 night / 2 day program with 1 additional night: $110.50*
- 1 night / 2 day program with 2 additional nights: $157.00*
* Option not available at all parks and program dates. See Dates and Locations to determine if extra nights are available on your preferred dates.
Who can participate?
- Anyone who is new to camping.
- Groups of up to six participants, including children, on each campsite.
Please note:
- Pets are not permitted at Learn to Camp sessions.
- All sessions are offered in English.
