Education
Park naturalists offer guided hikes, guest speakers, audio-visual
presentations and campfire programs throughout the summer. Learn
all about the boreal forest, local logging history, the fur trade
and the rich cultural history of the area.
Wildlife Viewing
Wildlife is abundant in these varied habitats. Moose, fox, porcupine
and beaver often make an appearance. Loons, osprey, bald eagles
and great blue herons fish the waters. And owls, ruffed grouse,
woodpeckers and songbirds find food and shelter in the forests.
Boating
White Lake is large. Approximately 12 to 18 km long, the north end
of the lake is an ideal location to fish, especially if you have
a large boat. The south end is narrower and suitable for smaller
boats, water skiing and canoeing.
Swimming
The day-use beach is approximately 200 metres of fine sand. With
warm, shallow waters and a buoyed swimming area, it is for family
swimming and water sports.
Cycling
There are no dedicated cycling trails in the park, but you can cycle
outside the park.
Winter Activities
The park is gated but accessible on foot. It's a great place for
a winter walk or some snowshoeing.
