Backcountry
Twenty-five backcountry campsites are accessible by canoe.

Hiking
Lonesome Bog Trail 1 km (45 minutes) easy
A short self-guided trail near the campground cuts through a black spruce forest to a boardwalk leading onto a bog full of colourful plants during the summer.

Fishing
Fishing is particularly good in Little Wawa, Windermere and Prairie Bee lakes. Ask park staff to tell you the best places to fish for northern pike, walleye, whitefish, lake trout, perch and largemouth and smallmouth bass.
A fish cleaning station is located at the boat launch on Little Wawa Lake.

Canoeing
Canoes can be rented in Chapleau.

Shoals North Loop 40 km (2days) 8 portages, novice

Shoals South Loop 16 km (1 day) 7 portages, novice

Boating
Boat launches provide access to Little Wawa and Prairie Bee lakes. Trailer parking is available at both of these locations.

Swimming
The water is deep in spots by the sandy beach, but there is a buoyed area from family swimming.

Hunting in this park is subject to the Ontario Hunting Regulations. Certain restrictions apply. For more information, contact the park or your local area or district office of the Ministry of Natural Resources.
