The shallow waters off the 200-m shoreline are nicely warmed for the summer. The beach is stoney in nature and swimmers must walk out 50-75 metres to get to sandbar. Because of the "cove" nature of the beach area, seaweed does accumulate from time to time depending on weather conditions.
