Education
Staff offer natural heritage and ecology education programs on site and a voyageur canoe tour.

Fishing
Walleye, northern pike, bass, herring, catfish and perch are among the fish you might catch in the lakes of Samuel de Champlain. The cool, deep waters of Long Lake support a brook trout fishery, but you will more likely tussle with a rock bass.
More information on fishing.

Canoeing
Mattawa River 64 km (2-3 days) 11 portages, Class C
This river has a strong current but little white water.

Wildlife Viewing
Wildlife includes moose, wolves, bear and white-tailed deer and more than 200 species of birds and waterfowl such as loons, common mergansers, black ducks and wood ducks.

Boating
Motorboats are prohibited on Long Lake, the source of the park's drinking water. Moore Lake is restricted to boats of 10hp or less.

There is a boat launch and docking facilities.

Boaters can also access Mattawa River where motorboats are permitted.

Swimming
Sand dunes and a pebble beach slope into water that is deep in spots. Change facilities and a buoyed area make this park ideal for a family swim.

Winter Activities
The park is great for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

Other - The Canadian Ecology Centre offers education programs.
