Bicycle Trail

Location: accessible from beach access roads and campgrounds
Parking: beach parking lots

Looking for an environmentally friendly way to travel to Presqu'ile's interpretive centres, park store, beach or walking trails? Why not grab your helmet and bike and explore Presqu'ile's bicycle trail. Accessible from the campgrounds and beach access roads, this trail heads south, parallel to Bayshore Drive from the main gate and joins with the Beach 4 access road. It then veers to the left, passing the park store and Owen Point trail and enters the campgrounds where it follows the shore of the rocky beach east to Chatterton Point. Cyclists can continue their trip on Lighthouse Lane to reach Pioneer Trail, Newcastle Trail, the Nature Centre or the Lighthouse Interpretive Centre. Please be particularly careful around vehicles and keep to the right side when cycling on roadways. Visitors are reminded that this is the only trail on which bicycles are permitted.
