Big East River - 10 km one way (3-5 hours)
Explore the oxbows and sandy banks of Big East River from Williamsport Bridge, a 30-minute drive from the park at Muskoka Road 3 and Williamsport Road. The downstream current can be quite strong for the first few kilometres. The river meanders through mixed forest and past many small beaches and fragile sand cliffs. (Please do not climb their banks.) Mid-way down the river you will find the 23-metre-high bank of the Big Bend Lookout. Steer into Little East River on your right, travel upstream, portage around Stubb's Falls and paddle to Arrowhead Lake.

Little East River to Stubb's Falls - 1 km one way (20 minutes)
From Arrowhead Lake bridge, paddle slowly down Little East River and look for signs of beaver and aquatic plants such as arrowhead and cardinal flowers. Or pull out for Stubb's Falls on the right side of the river before the foot bridge.

Mayflower Lake and Arrowhead Lake
Both lakes are protected from strong winds, so you can quietly explore shorelines and look for wildlife.
