It takes lots of people working together to preserve these spaces while welcoming visitors from Ontario and beyond. Whatever your interest, there’s a role for you at Ontario Parks!
Here’s a few reasons you might want to work here:
You love spending time in nature
Are you an avid camper, hiker, paddler, or bird watcher? Do you just love quality time outside?
Whether you are an experienced outdoor enthusiast or new to spending time in nature, Ontario Parks offers a friendly and inclusive environment with tons of outdoor adventure opportunities that are encompassing of all skill levels and abilities.
You care about biodiversity and environmental protection
If you’re passionate about the natural world, few jobs will give you a greater sense of purpose.
Everyone at Ontario Parks – no matter their role – shares a desire to protect our natural spaces. Your work here makes a real difference.
You’re seeking a sense of community
Whether it’s the campfires or the shared sense of purpose, Ontario Parks invites a real sense of togetherness.
Especially if you stay in a staff house, you’re likely to develop close bonds with your coworkers, and might spark friendships that last a lifetime.
Here’s a great example of park friendships and adventures.
You love to learn
Park operations are complex, and every day brings a new challenge. Many students tackle special projects, take specialized training, or experience time in different departments during their time here.
To say nothing of the fact that just being in parks can be a learning experience. Nature is an awe-inspiring classroom.
You care about making people happy and healthy
Every year, Ontario Parks welcomes millions of visitors. Some have been camping here for generations, while others may be experiencing parks for the very first time.
Our parks play host to countless special memories, joyful vacations, and moments of inspiration every summer. Working in parks means you’re part of spreading that happiness through Ontario.
