Wabakimi is laced with over 2,000 km of lakes and rivers. Major canoe routes include the Allanwater, Flindt, Pikitigushi and Ogoki rivers. Most feature whitewater and, for the less experienced, portages bypassing all river obstacles. Area outfitters carry the park map (suitable for trip planning), topographic maps of the area,and section sheets that provide detailed portage information. Canoeists should expect to encounter motorboats and aircraft of park tourism operators. You can enter the park by canoe, train or plane or by arranging a vehicle shuttle with an area outfitter.
