Fishing is excellent for perch, large and small mouth bass, northern pike, walleye, sauger, and muskellunge. Tackle, bait and licences are available nearby.

The boat launch is double width and can accommodate large boats. Overnight docking for small boats (less than four metres) is free to campers, based on availability.

The park rents Coleman canoes, and within a half-hour paddle of the park there are several prime angling locations.
