Park Activities


Education
Park staff offer guided walks, evening slide and film presentations, campfires and children's programs. They also offer special event programs, such as "Theatre in the Park". Park Interpretive staff dress up in historical costume and provide an evening of drama, comedy and music presenting the history of Sandbanks in an entertaining venue. Programs run daily during the summer.

Wildlife Viewing
Diverse habitats support a diverse wildlife at Sandbanks. A wide variety of birds live in the park and migrating species stop here in spring and fall. The park is also home to small mammals, frogs and reptiles.

Cycling
Cycle along the Woodland Trail in the park or explore the picturesque countryside and lakeside vistas of Prince Edward County.

Woodlands Trail 5 km
Cycle through Woodland Campground, wood lots and pastures along this trail. It starts at Outlet Beach and ends at Dunes Beach day-use area beside West Lake.

Winter Activities
Cross-country ski along 10 km of groomed trails and warm up along the way at a cabin with a wood stove and hot plate.
