Phase Out Policy Review

Provincial park policy calls for certain activities to be withdrawn from some parks by 2010. This is known as the “phase out policy”. The activities affected are private tenure (e.g. recreation camps and agricultural leases) and non-aboriginal commercial harvesting (e.g. trapping, bait harvesting, commercial fishing and wild rice harvesting).

The Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) is seeking your input on proposed changes to the phase out policy.
