Wildlife Viewing
Moose often feed in the marshes at dawn and dusk. More commonly seen throughout the park are red fox, beaver, mink, otter, snowshoe hare and red squirrel. On rare occasions, you might see or hear evidence of the elusive wolf, black bear and lynx in the backcountry.

Plants
In the campgrounds and along nature trails, moccasin flower (pink ladyslipper orchid) grows among the pines. Wild rose, pitcher plants and snowberry also flourish here along with everyone's favourite, the edible blueberry!

Birds
Birdwatchers will be rewarded with sightings of bald eagles, osprey, great blue herons, ruffed grouse and songbirds throughout the park. Listen for the echoing call of the loon at twilight on Burnfield Lake.

Backcountry - Ten backcountry campsites are accessible by canoe.

Cycling Knife Lake Trail - 5-7 km

Winter Activities - Park at the front entrance and walk or snowshoe into the park.
