The park is in the middle of typical south-central Ontario countryside. It includes a variety of valley landforms created by the meandering Boyne River. More than 100 species of bird are found here, including the ruby-throated hummingbird, yellow warbler, and purple finch. Other wildlife include squirrels, rabbits, beaver, fox, turtles and frogs.
