Beech Woods Trail

Hemlock Ridge Trail 1.8 km loop (1 hour) easy
Charleston Lake's plant communities are highlighted on this trail.

Quiddity Trail 2.6 km (1.5 hours) easy
Two boardwalks lead through wetlands at the barrier-free beginning of this trail. The trail ends on a high rocky promontory overlooking Running=s Bay.

Sandstone Island Trail 3.3 km loop (2 hours) easy
Learn about the cultural and geological history of the park as you hike past rock shelters used by native people over 2, 000 years ago and the foundations of the pioneer homesteads. This trail features a lookout over Charleston Lake.

Shoreline Centennial Trail 1.6 km loop (1.5 hours) easy
Interpretive stops explain the natural and cultural history of the lake, especially the role of recreational fishing in the early 1900s.

Westside Trail 10 km (4 hours) moderate
This rugged loop shows off some of the most beautiful parts of the park.
